{"id":159,"date":"2011-06-17T08:06:50","date_gmt":"2011-06-17T12:06:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/astronomy.snjr.net\/blog\/?p=159"},"modified":"2011-06-15T22:35:37","modified_gmt":"2011-06-16T02:35:37","slug":"kirkwood-observatory-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/astronomy.snjr.net\/blog\/?p=159","title":{"rendered":"Kirkwood Observatory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a follow up to <a href=\"https:\/\/astronomy.snjr.net\/blog\/?p=149\" target=\"_blank\">my post on Kirkwood Observatory<\/a>, here are a few historic photos from the Archives Photograph Collection at Indiana University.<\/p>\n<p>First, we have a slightly damaged photo taken within the first decade of the building&#8217;s life. Photo credit: Indiana University Archives<\/p><\/div>\n<p>As you can see from the third photo, a view of the observatory through the trees of Dunn&#8217;s Woods, a fresh crop of ivy was engulfing the observatory in 1975.
