I’m an architectural historian and amateur astronomer, originally from the far left corner of the United States, now settled in Massachusetts. My days are spent in downtown Boston, where I work as a writer and editor for an architectural firm. (I left Sky & Telescope in September 2019.) My academic research (my full CV can be found at snjr.net) focuses on the history of astronomical observatories in India and the role those structures played in the production and mobility of knowledge during the global eighteenth century. I am currently at work on an article about Lick Observatory, though may return to my South Asian research soon. Feel free to use the form below if you’d like to contact me.
